Description

        Louise Penny was born in Toronto. She earned a Bachelor of Applied Arts (Radio and Television) from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute (now Ryerson University). Her first career was as a radio broadcaster for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. After getting married she turned to writing and has become famous for her mystery novels set in the province of Quebec and centred around the work of Inspector Armand Gamache. Penny is the author of such bestselling titles as A Fatal Grace, The Brutal Telling, and A Trick of the Light. She is also the recipient of the Arthur Ellis Award and the Agatha Award for best mystery novel. She currently lives in Knowlton, a village south of Montreal.
