Both Gunnison County Libraries are open to the public. Current hours are Monday-Friday, 9-6PM, Saturday 10-4PM, and Sunday 1-5PM.

Shirley Welch was the 2009 recipient of the Nimon-Walker Award for outstanding contributions to the history of Eagle County, Colorado. The award is conferred by the Eagle County Historical Society.
