Born in Tornum, Nord-Schleswig, Denmark, October 22, 1864, Andrew attened German Trades schools, learning shoemaking. He joined his father in Colorado in 1883. Jack Oleson standing next to his restored Conestoga wagon on July 1, 2010 at Diamond Star Ranch, Eagle. He estimates it is an 1825 vintage. Oleson purchased the wagon from the Holland House in Golden, Colorado, in the 1960s. He took the wagon completely apart, replacing some rotted wood pieces. The new paint was matched to the original found on the undercarriage. A new canvas top was made to fit, completing the project in 2008.

1904 Formal portrait of Mr. and Mrs. Julius P. Oleson. Julius Peter Oleson was born Feb. 16, 1876, Schleswig-Holstein, Denmakr, and came to the United States in 1889. In 1902, he entered the mercantile business in Gypsum, Colorado, until the time of his death in 1958.
