Rifle and leather gun scabbard with initials RRM; leather glove.
Roy Ralph Marfitano (RRM) first purchased the scabbard to use on his horse in 1940. The horse wasn't around very long so Roy's dad, Ralph, then started using the scabbard to protect his 1927 Winchester Model 94-32 Special rifle (shown in photo) while traveling the tracks on his railroad "putt-putt" car.
The Model 94 rifle was a very popular big game rifle in those days (1920s-1980s)....

Joy Marfitano (Dump Boltjes) on Senior Sneak Day 1938. She is standing at the Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun in Colorado Springs. Spencer Penrose built the shrine between 1934 and 1937, dedicating it to Will Rogers who died in a plane crash in 1935. The elevation on the top deck in 8,136 ft. The shrine is now part of Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.

The Dump Family reunion held at the Apple Blossom Inn, Leadville, Colorado. Unbenownst to the family at the time, the Inn is three building lots away from where the 1942 Dump Family reunion was held at the home of Ike and Joy Dump.

They were married on July 20, 1941, but, due to circumstances were unable to have their wedding picture taken until December 7, 1941, in Leadville. The house belonged to the John and Alton Paddock family. The Paddock's permitted Joy and her children to house-sit rent free while Ike was overseas.
