This bronze statue of Pat Day was created by Raymond Graf, a Louisville, Kentucky artist who holds a BFA in Sculpture from Murray State University. The life-size sculpture is located in the paddock of Churchill Downs in Louisville and was unveiled on 18 April 2022.
Despite Pat Day's 4'11" stature, the sculpture is 5' tall and reflects a poignant story that is revealed in Pat Day's oral history.

Vail Rotary Club, formally chartered as Rotary Club of Vail - Eagle Valley, was established on 9 June 1970. It was the first international service club organized in the community. The family of Jack Phillips gathers at their sawmill operation located on Muddy Creek near Piney Mountain in northeastern Eagle County. The sawmill provided timber for the Gilman Mine prior to its closing.
Johnnette and Jack Phillips are in the center of the first row. After their wedding in 1955, this was Jack and Johnnette's first home in Eagle County.

Johnnette Phillips spent many years as a civil servant in Eagle County, Colorado. She served as Eagle County Clerk & Recorder from 1978 to 1992. In 1992, Phillips was elected Eagle County Commissioner and served in that capacity until 2000.
